Maine is my second home during the summer, so needless to say I was SO excited to photograph Jill and Ben’s wedding in Portland this past August at the Portland Company Complex. For starters, these two had impeccable taste. From the cozy furniture, to the string lights, to their choice of homestyle bbq-mexican infused catering… and let’s not forget that they played Jimmy Eat World at their reception? I felt so passionately from Jill and Ben that they wanted their guests to enjoy themselves just as much as they were on this special day.
Towards the end of the night, Jill changed into a bombshell embellished dress and we busted out some sparklers that I had in my trunk (don’t ask… you never know when you’re going to need sparklers). I can’t wait to follow along with Jill and Ben’s journey as I am positive they are going to be up to some awesome things in the future!

This past July Caitlin and Sammy tied the knot at the absolutely gorgeous Glen Magna Farm in Danvers, MA. The grounds of this venue were to die for, with small paths guiding you through the lush greenery and historic buildings that lined the property. It was a warm summer day, perfect for some cocktails and a little dancing on the porch with a live band. Side note: live bands are the best! Such a fun way to get people up and dancing. Wishing it was still summer right about now!
Hey guys, long time no see! It has been a really hectic couple of months to say the least. My business has been keeping me busier than ever and I’ve got a lot of catching up to do here… But first, check out this brand spankin’ new website I have!! Couldn’t have done it without the brilliant skills of Kelsey over at Pinegate Road. I am so ecstatic about this finished product. It is just what I needed for that extra boost of confidence going into 2017. So for now, to welcome this new site into the world I am going to blog something completely different than normal.
I traveled here this past June with my boyfriend and it was by far one of the coolest place I have ever been. From the mid-century design everywhere, to the glaciers and hot springs… this place was just something else. I photographed it all on fairly inexpensive film and really enjoy the gritty quality of it.
Happy Holidays guys!
I recently helped plan and execute a styled shoot that was just featured on Wedding Sparrow this past week! Myself and the other vendors involved worked so so hard to make this whole thing come together, and it is some of my best work to date. Click on the Wedding Sparrow link above to check out the full feature!
This shoot is inspiration for the bride who has a profound fascination with raw and untouched flora. We chose to work in a greenhouse that was built in the early 1900’s and still remains in its original state. Our bride wandered through this peaceful sanctuary, full of small ponds and an abundance of fresh vegetation, wearing a beaded gown from BHLDN and a Victorian ring, restored to it’s original beauty, by Trumpet & Horn. The stationery was dip-dyed in coffee and tea, imbuing unique colors and textures. The overgrown bouquet completed the centerpiece design, which was gracefully paired with handmade organic linens and mismatched vintage silverware from years passed. Surrounded by lush greenery, our blushing bride found the perfect tranquil setting for a quiet moment of reflection.

Amanda, Steve and I met on a hot July morning to take their engagement photos at the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain. To say I was excited that they were bringing their dog Layla was an understatement… Layla definitely kept us on our toes for the whole session! We would alternate throwing a stick for her to eagerly chase after, then take shots while she was off trying to find said stick. She never caught on to what we were doing (dogs…), but I was told she slept like a baby after our session. Amanda and Steve are the sweetest couple, with great taste in music might I add, and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next June!
Meredith and Mark are two world travelers who came together this past June to celebrate their wedding with friends and family at the Cambridge Boat Club along the Charles River. It was an intimate cocktail wedding with friends and family who traveled from near and far to be with these two on their big day! Meredith and Mark paid so much attention to detail, with thoughtfully handmade pastries and the most impressive selection of gourmet cheese I have EVER seen (you know it’s good when you can’t even pronounce some of the names). These two have since returned back to the Netherlands to start their life together, and I am so happy to have been present for the start of that journey.

Kirsten and I shot a last minute maternity session before she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl this past week! We met on a warm summer evening at the Arboretum in Jamaica Plain and frolicked around, finding secluded areas to shoot. For someone who was heavily pregnant, Kirsten had a ton of energy and was easily able to hop on and off of giant tree stumps and such! What a trooper… They also named their baby after Bob Dylan. Welcome to the world Dylan Grace!
Jess and Jon invited me to photograph their wedding last month at the Mohegan Sun Golf Club. It was rainy the entire beginning half of the the day and it wasn’t looking great for an outdoor ceremony, but at the last minute the rain miraculously stopped and didn’t pick up again for the rest of the day! We were able to romp around the course in golf carts to take formals and cause a little mayhem (think eight gold carts trying to follow each other throughout the course). Jess and Jon are such a fun loving, laid back couple who encouraged all of their guests to let loose and just have a good time. It was such a wonderful celebration of love!

Margo, Kevin and I met up at the Sudbury Reservoir during sunset last month for their engagement session. I was so happy that these two were excited about frolicking through the tall grass and lush green bushes to get some of these shots! Margo and Kevin frequently take evening walks here and to me, there is just nothing better than shooting in a meaningful place. So excited for their wedding this October!
Last month Sara and Rob invited me to help capture their big day in the prettiest historic venue in Narragansett Rhode Island called The Towers! It was a beautiful, sunny May day, perfect for taking photos on the beach right next to the venue (although we almost got blown into the ocean multiple times). Sara and her bridesmaids made their own bouquets which blended beautifully with their pastel pink gowns, and the groomsmen all had pops of blue that paired perfectly with the beach setting. Did I mention that this was a brunch wedding? It was. Breakfast burritos and french toast and doughnuts GALORE!
